Eugenidion University Hospital and the London Hair Restoration Training Academy Team to certify most advanced baldness solution

 

The National and Kapodistrian University of  Athens has teamed up with the world’s only dedicated hair restoration training academy to create the first ever university-level academic certification course in the treatment of male pattern baldness and other forms of alopecia.

The hands on training will be hosted by Eugenidion University Hospital of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and be supplemented by online courses designed and taught by the London Hair Restoration Training Academy. The programme will be held by Professor of Dermatology of A.Syggros Hospital, director of clinical venereal and skin diseases Dr. Christina Antoniou and Professor Al. Stratigos.

The programme will focus to the in depth  education, training and the specialization of doctors in curing androgenetic alopecia, or “male pattern baldness” by focusing on the DHI Total Care System, which pairs a technically advanced hair restoration solution with proven practical business applications. For the first time, doctors from all over the world will have the opportunity to acquire truly academic education in the treatment of alopecia.

Trainees will have the opportunity to participate on real procedures , with real patients on a real clinic environment .

Course includes: Hands on practice with live sessions which are conducted in the University Hospital Evgenideio. All trainees will have access to three to four practice sessions per week under the supervision of the Training committee and Master Specialists.

  • Day 1

    • Introduction in the educational system of London Hair Restoration Training Academy and DHI Global Medical Group
    • The anatomy and physiology of the hair follicle
    • Types of alopecia
    • Androgennitiki alopecia in men and The scales Norwood and Ludwig
    • Indications and contraindications for treatment transplanting hair follicles
    • DNA Damage to hair Oxidative stress
    • The restoration of alopecia over time. DHI art.

     

  • Day 2

    • Introduction to the diagnostics of alopecia
    • The psychological factors in alopecia
    • The importance of medical data (health history, physical examination, family history of alopecia)
    • Diagnosis of female alopecia androgenetic type
    • The importance of mathematical Estimates donor and recipient area
    • Surgical methodology DHI technique. Differences with other follicular implantation techniques.
  • Day 3

    • Invasive room and surgical instruments (machines and tools settings)
    • Preparation and implementation of local anesthesia
    • Pre-invasive and patient preparation instructions the day of surgery
    • Cooperation with the assistant within the interventional His role in the outcome of surgery
    • Export Rules hair follicles from the donor area
    • Operations to improve the transection
    • Session 50 follicles
      1. Extraction and Recognition of cuttings
      2. Loading of the grafts in implanter
      3. Placing grafts
  • Day 4

    • Session 200 hair follicles in patients
      1. Extraction and Recognition of cuttings
      2. Loading of the grafts in implanter
      3. Placing graft
    • Export follicles in special cases (repeated surgery, high Norwood grade, 2 days intervention, very curly hair, unshaven donor or belt clipped)
    • Rules placement of hair follicles in the recipient area
      1. Mounting Depth
      2. Direction and angle of installation in the various areas of alopecia androgennitikis
      3. Installation Plan – Recovery of alopecia
      4. Design of fronto – temporal hairline and determination of areas for restoration
  • Day 5

    • Session 500 hair follicles in patients
      1. Extraction and Recognition of cuttings (meaning the maximum export)
      2. Load the implanter and placement of grafts
    • Distribution of hair follicles in men (factors that determine it)
    • Distribution of follicles in women
    • Mounting Density (factors that determine it, invasive methodology)
    • Installation in special circumstances (skiro skin, repeated surgery, revisions, dense packing)
    • Events during surgery (pop-out phenomenon, micro hemorrhages, thickening existing hair growth, anesthesia machines in susceptible patients)
    • Post procedural instruct the patient
  • Day 6

    • Session 1000 follicular units
    • extraction rule follicles of the face (beard) or the body (breast)
    • Rules restore normal facial hair growth (sideburns, beard, mustache, eyebrows)
    • Rules restore normal hair growth on the body (chest, pudenda)
    • Post procedural instructions  and patient monitoring.
  • Day 7

    • session 1000 hair follicles in patients
      1. extraction and recognition of cuttings
      2. loading the implanter and placement of grafts
    • Compensation for other types of alopecia
    • The survival of graphs intraoperatively
    • Exceptional events from the patient intraoperatively
    • Postoperative complications and treatment
    • low final germination Cases
    • Non-surgical treatments for androgenetic alopecia
  • Day 8

    • Session 1500 follicular units
      1. Extraction and recognition of cuttings
      2. Loading the implanter and placement of grafts
    • Conservative baldness treatments
    • Discussion
    • Completing the necessary forms invasive for the patient’s file
  • Day 9

    • Session 1500 hair follicles in patients
      1. Extraction and recognition of cuttings
      2. Loading the implanter and placement of grafts
    • Discussion and questions
  • Day 10

    • Examination and certification procedures

Following the completion of the program there will be an oral and written certification examination.

All trainees who will successfully pass the examination, will receive a diploma from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with London Hair Restoration Training Academy.

Every certified physician regardless their specialty and or previous experience in hair restoration procedures.
